With the summer holidays fast approaching, we imagine many families will be thinking about organising childcare for September and wondering how nurseries can help with your child's education.

Four of our nurseries are currently open (Ashdown, Dormers Wells, Hayes, and Tithebarn); Botwell and West Drayton will be opening in August, and we are preparing our other nurseries to open after the holiday period.

We would like to reiterate KiddieCare nurseries are doing everything we can to ensure we are as safe and as hygienic as possible.

So, why is nursery important:
- Nursery education is beneficial in allowing your child to have a seamless transition from home to nursery, and then from nursery to primary school.

- We base our entire nursery education on the EYFS, teaching our children the necessary skills they will need as they progress throughout their time with us.

- Nursery is a place for your child to interact with other children their age, meaning they are able to gain social skills to use in later life.

- As of September 2020, all of our nurseries will be teaching our pre-school children a second language (French or Spanish); this will be taught by one of our nursery staff and will cover topics such as days of the week, counting to ten, hello/goodbye/please/thank you, and so on.

- If it is safe to do so, based on government regulations, we usually invite parents into our nurseries to take part in activities with the children, encouraging a blended learning approach between nursery and home life.

If you have been following KiddieCare on our social media channels, then you will be aware of how varied our learning is with the children, incorporating a fun attitude from science experiments to messy play to singing in Spanish.

If you are a KiddieCare parent already, then we would like to thank you for your loyalty to our nurseries during what has been a tough few months for everyone, however, we are looking towards a brighter end to the year 2020. Please also remember we have a parent referral scheme!

For new parents, we would love for you to come and have a look around our nurseries (socially-distanced with face masks for adults) and see what we can offer your children. Our Ashdown, Botwell, Dormers Wells, Tithebarn, and West Drayton branches will be open during August, with other branches holding open days throughout the holidays.

Follow us on Facebook and keep an eye on when you'll be able to visit, but please call us in advance to ensure we are able to stagger parents looking around to maintain social distancing. We look forward to welcoming you to the KiddieCare family.

Kind regards,

KiddieCare Nurseries
